This classic 5-day safari is perfect for travelers who want to experience Tanzania’s most iconic national parks in just under a week. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, a Tobiko Adventure representative will greet you and transfer you to your lodge or camp in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, unwind and prepare for the exciting days ahead.

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up for the journey to Tarangire National Park (approx. 2.5 hours). This park is famous for its large elephant herds, baobab trees said to be over 1,000 years old, and the Tarangire River, which attracts wildlife throughout the year.
Expect to see zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, buffalo, antelope, and possibly lions or leopards. With over 500 bird species, Tarangire is also a paradise for bird watchers.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing to your accommodation in Karatu.

After an early breakfast, head toward the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to one of the densest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. Descend into the 600-meter-deep caldera and spot the Big Five, as well as hippos, hyenas, gazelles, and countless birds.
After your crater experience and picnic lunch, continue your scenic drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area into Serengeti National Park, arriving by late afternoon.

Wake early for a morning game drive in the Serengeti, one of Africa’s most celebrated parks. Its endless grasslands support an incredible variety of wildlife, and if you’re lucky, you’ll witness part of the Great Migration or spot predators like cheetahs, lions, or leopards.
After lunch, begin your drive back to Karatu, enjoying wildlife sightings along the way.

After breakfast, visit Lake Manyara National Park, a small but biologically rich park nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment. Enjoy a picnic lunch before heading back to Arusha or the airport for your onward travel.
