FULL day to day itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Welcome to Tanzania

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, a representative from Tobiko Adventure will meet you and transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha. Settle in, unwind from your journey, and prepare for the exciting days ahead.

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its ancient baobab trees, dramatic landscapes, and massive elephant herds. The life-giving Tarangire River draws wildlife year-round, including giraffes, wildebeest, lions, leopards, and over 500 bird species.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park, then continue to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Journey through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a stop to view the Ngorongoro Crater. Then descend into the Serengeti, world-renowned for its open plains, abundant predators, and seasonal Great Migration.

Explore Central Serengeti’s diverse landscapes, where you’re likely to see lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and countless antelope. Game drives can be tailored to your preference — full-day with picnic lunch or split morning and afternoon sessions.

After breakfast, drive south into the Ndutu region, part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where the herds of the Great Migration gather between December and April.

Ndutu’s open plains, acacia woodlands, and seasonal lakes provide a dramatic backdrop for thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles — often shadowed by predators.

Spend a full day exploring the Ndutu area during the wildebeest calving season. Between January and March, over half a million calves are born — attracting predators like cheetahs, hyenas, lions, and leopards. With luck, you may witness a chase or a newborn taking its first steps.

Enjoy a scenic drive back through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After lunch, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and natural amphitheater teeming with wildlife.

Spot black rhinos, elephants, hippos, lions, and flamingos in this compact, biodiverse paradise.

After the game drive, head to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

On your final day, visit Lake Manyara National Park, a small but vibrant park nestled between the Great Rift Escarpment and a shallow alkaline lake.

Look for tree-climbing lions, baboons, flamingos, and forest elephants during your game drive. Enjoy a picnic lunch before returning to Arusha or being dropped off at the airport.
