What happens if you need to cancel or change your Tobiko Adventures trip.
Last updated: 12 October 2026
We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel, please notify us in writing (email or WhatsApp). The cancellation date is the day we receive your notice.
| Notice before arrival | Cancellation charge |
|---|---|
| More than 60 days | Loss of deposit (30%) |
| 59 – 31 days | 50% of total trip cost |
| 30 – 15 days | 75% of total trip cost |
| 14 days or less / no-show | 100% of total trip cost |
Some lodges, airlines and peak-season camps have stricter terms; if this applies to your trip we will tell you before you book. Kilimanjaro park permits and domestic flight tickets may be non-refundable once issued.
If you want to move your trip rather than cancel, contact us as early as possible. Where suppliers allow, we will transfer your deposit to new dates within 12 months; supplier change fees may apply.
If we must cancel your trip for reasons within our control, you will receive a full refund. If cancellation is caused by force majeure (events beyond our control), we will refund all amounts we are able to recover from suppliers, or offer new dates.
No refunds are given for services not used once the trip has started (e.g. leaving a safari early or descending Kilimanjaro early).
Approved refunds are processed within 30 days to the original payment method. Bank and card charges are non-refundable.
We strongly recommend travel insurance with cancellation cover. See our full Booking Terms & Conditions.
