Two sides of Zanzibar in four days: the history of Stone Town and the white sands of Nungwi.
Perfect after a safari or as a short island break. Start in Stone Town with its maze of alleys and Swahili-Arabic architecture, then move up to Nungwi, where the beach stays swimmable at all tides and the sunsets are legendary.
Karibu Zanzibar! Meet your driver at Abeid Amani Karume Airport or the ferry port and transfer to your hotel. Spend the evening watching the sunset with a fresh juice or cocktail.
Guided walk through the UNESCO-listed alleys of Stone Town: carved Zanzibari doors, the Old Fort, the House of Wonders, Darajani Market and the moving Slave Market memorial. In the afternoon, visit a spice farm to taste cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon and fresh tropical fruit.
Overnight: Stone Town boutique hotel
Transfer to Nungwi on the north coast. Afternoon on the beach, then sail on a traditional wooden dhow at sunset.
Overnight: Nungwi beach hotel
Breakfast, check-out and transfer to the airport or ferry – or connect to a safari or Kilimanjaro climb on the mainland.
